What is Modern Day Disciple?
Modern Day Disciple is a spiritual organization based on the teachings of Jesus and the Golden Rule. He said, "you will know that you are my disciple because you love one another." We are a community of like-minded people who share this belief and way of life.
What we believe
We believe that there is one God. The human mind will never be able to comprehend what God really is. Every religion has been man's attempt to define God, but the Creator cannot be put in a box. We believe that God is within all of creation. God is the instinct that causes a seed to sprout forth, your bodily functions to work without conscious thought, the intelligence behind evolution. The divine is the life force in us that lives through us and unites us all as one being.
Jesus taught this oneness: "On that day you will know that I am in the father, the father is in me, and I am in you." We are humble enough to acknowledge that we do not know anything. Our beliefs do not need to compete with other people's because neither side can be sure their beliefs are truth. We call it faith for a reason. That humbleness allows us to accept people of all belief systems that are aligned with the idea of living the Golden Rule and loving one another. Let your light shine.
